Software Engineer, Platform Scale & Reliability

Role overview Improve the foundations of a financial software platform as it serves more customers, handles more data, and meets higher enterprise expectations. This broad engineering role spans application services, data flows, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and operational tooling, with a focus on performance, reliability, security, and predictable operation.

Responsibilities - Use production evidence to find and address performance, scalability, and reliability constraints. - Improve observability with useful metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts. - Strengthen services, data processing, deployments, and safeguards so failures are detected, contained, and resolved. - Work across a technology landscape that includes Python, Go, PHP, TypeScript, MySQL, Redis, AWS, containers, and CI/CD tools. - Guide AI agents in implementation, review their output critically, and establish tests and operational evidence before deployment. - Collaborate across platform areas, follow through on work, and help teammates solve shared problems.

Requirements - Broad software engineering experience and a practical understanding of production systems under real usage. - Ability to investigate system behavior and use evidence to diagnose problems. - Engineering judgment to identify weak designs, incorrect assumptions, failure modes, and unsafe production behavior. - Ability to direct and review AI-assisted implementation while remaining accountable for the result. - Willingness to contribute across applications, data, infrastructure, reliability, and developer tooling.

Nice to have - Experience with distributed systems, performance analysis, database optimization, cloud infrastructure, or systems investigation.
