Head of Security & Network Operations

Role overview Lead a combined security operations center (SOC) and network operations center (NOC), bringing monitoring, incident response, and service uptime under one operating model. The role oversees a 24/7 global operation of more than 150 people across onshore and offshore teams, with responsibility for service delivery, operating costs, and the operation’s ability to scale.

Responsibilities - Establish shared leadership, operating processes, and performance measures across security and network teams. - Lead major incidents from triage through resolution, coordinating technical response and communicating with customers and executives. - Own the operating budget and improve service efficiency, cost to serve, and margins. - Improve uptime, response times, and service quality through operational changes and automation. - Develop managers and global teams, and prepare the operation to support new service launches. - Work with senior leaders to shape the direction of the security and network services business.

Requirements - At least 12 years in security, network, or infrastructure operations, including 7 or more years in leadership and experience leading managers. - Experience running a 24/7 operation with at least 100 people, ideally across onshore and offshore teams. - Deep operational experience in either a SOC or NOC, with working knowledge of the other. - Experience managing an operating budget and improving costs or margins. - Strong major incident leadership, including clear customer and executive communication under pressure. - Familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, SOAR, and EDR/XDR, and network operations tools for monitoring, observability, and IT service management. - Ability to explain operational issues in business terms and willingness to travel internationally.

Nice to have - Experience with managed security, detection and response, or managed network services. - Familiarity with retail, hospitality, payments, multi-site operations, or PCI DSS. - Experience integrating SOC and NOC teams, scaling offshore delivery, or applying automation and AI to operations. - Knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, ITIL, or cloud operations on AWS, Azure, or GCP. Relevant certifications or a degree are welcome; equivalent experience is also suitable.
