Sr Software Engineer

Role overview

A remote contract opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer who will own the full lifecycle of web applications and supporting systems. The role spans design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement, with a strong emphasis on modern, AI-augmented engineering practices.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve web applications and related systems - Build and ship work across multiple areas such as API services, mobile applications, and cloud infrastructure - Practice and champion Test Driven Development and agile software development lifecycle processes - Develop, enhance, and scale CI/CD systems used by the engineering organization - Apply AI tools and a continuous-learning mindset to improve day-to-day engineering workflows

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field - 5+ years of professional software development experience spanning web applications, API services, mobile apps, and cloud infrastructure - Hands-on experience with React, Node.js, GraphQL, Ruby on Rails, Flutter, and AWS - Solid working knowledge of TDD best practices and agile product development environments - Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship (US Citizen, Green Card, or EAD only)

Nice to have

- Prior experience scaling CI/CD pipelines for fast-moving product teams - Comfort operating across both front-end and back-end stacks in a polyglot environment
