About this role
Role overview Lead the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a payments and money-movement portfolio at the heart of a multi-vertical payments platform. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this VP-level role spans payment acceptance, orchestration, risk and compliance, disbursements, settlement, reconciliation, and the APIs that expose these capabilities to clients and partners.
Responsibilities - Own strategy, roadmap, and execution for the Payments and Money Movement portfolio, balancing near-term delivery with platform modernization. - Lead, coach, and develop experienced product leaders and their teams across payments, trust, money movement, and API capabilities. - Partner with engineering leadership to scale and modernize the underlying transactional platform. - Drive the evolution of smart switching, payment routing, and orchestration across processors, rails, and payment methods. - Generalize core platform capabilities so they can be reused across current and future verticals without bespoke solutions. - Work closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Risk, and Compliance to ensure the platform supports operational needs as transaction volume and complexity grow.
Requirements - 12+ years of product management experience, with significant work in payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure. - 7+ years of progressive product leadership, including responsibility for multiple teams and senior product leaders. - Deep payments expertise spanning gateways, acquiring, routing, card and ACH processing, settlement, reconciliation, or disbursements. - Demonstrated success scaling, modernizing, or transforming a complex, high-volume transaction platform. - Track record partnering with senior engineering leaders on technically complex platform investments. - Strong commercial judgment connecting product strategy to revenue, economics, and client value.
Benefits and work setup - Base salary range of $275,000 to $325,000 USD, plus stock options with a one-year cliff and four-year vesting. - Medical, dental, and vision coverage (100% for employees), plus life and disability insurance and a 401k plan. - $50 monthly communication stipend, $250 WFH setup stipend, and reimbursements for a monitor, keyboard, and mouse. - Flexible time off (typical usage around three to four weeks per year), volunteer time off, 13 scheduled holidays, paid parental bonding leave, sick leave, jury duty, and bereavement support.
