Lead Frontend Engineer

Role overview Lead the technical direction and architecture of high-performance web applications for a large consumer audience. You’ll set foundations for scalable content platforms, improve performance across products, and guide engineering quality while working with product teams in a distributed environment. The engineering workflow makes regular use of AI tools, with technical judgment and accountability remaining part of the role.

Responsibilities - Define architecture and technical strategy for scalable content management applications. - Improve frontend infrastructure and Core Web Vitals across products. - Review code and uphold standards for quality and maintainability. - Explain technical decisions and delivery progress to product and non-technical partners. - Improve development workflows and collaborate with remote product teams on customer-facing applications. - Use AI tools across design, prototyping, refactoring, testing, and review, applying engineering judgment to the results.

Requirements - Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and Next.js App Router. - Experience managing internationalization for large applications, including translation management integrations. - Familiarity with monorepo tools such as NX or Turborepo. - Experience integrating external APIs, analytics, and A/B testing tools. - Demonstrated SEO and page-speed improvements, including Core Web Vitals. - UI/UX skills with Figma and experience building responsive consumer web applications.
