Software Integration engineer - H/F

Role overview

Develop and integrate the Linux-based control software used to operate quantum processing hardware. You will work across software and hardware teams to add capabilities, deploy updates, troubleshoot system issues, and connect the control layer with cloud services and other software components. The position combines application development with hands-on work close to devices.

Responsibilities - Build features, hardware drivers, and other enhancements for the control software across research quantum systems. - Deploy software to quantum devices and help research and deployment colleagues tune and test installations. - Investigate software and system problems with hardware and software teams. - Integrate the control layer with cloud services, quantum libraries, and other parts of the software stack. - Develop tools for device deployment and upgrades, and assess performance to identify improvements.

Requirements - Master’s or engineering degree in computer science or a related specialization, plus more than three years of software development and hardware integration experience. - Experience across the software development lifecycle, including low-level interfaces and hardware drivers. - Strong Python skills and working knowledge of at least one native language such as C, C++, or Rust. - Proficiency with Linux configuration, networking, and USB devices; experience with Git, GitLab CI, and PostgreSQL. - Ability to take ownership of work independently while collaborating with a team. - Professional fluency in spoken and written French and English.

Nice to have - Rust experience or willingness to learn it. - Familiarity with React or other front-end technologies. - Interest in new technologies and scientific challenges.
