Forward Deployed Engineer

Role overview Lead customer-facing engineering engagements that connect AI-driven workflows with business systems and data. You’ll take work from technical discovery and solution design through implementation, verification, security review, and handoff. Between engagements, you’ll turn recurring needs into reusable platform capabilities and contribute to the core product.

Responsibilities - Lead customer discovery, define technical scope and risks, estimate build and operating costs, and own solution design in partnership with Sales. - Build end-to-end integrations, including agents and MCP servers, enterprise system connectors, file and batch ingestion, webhooks, and data mapping. - Certify integrations against customer source data using reconciliation, parity checks, automated regression, and reviewable evidence. - Define evaluation and safety controls for agentic systems, including permission scoping, approval steps, output validation, audit logs, and rollback. - Serve as the main technical contact through customer security and change-control processes; provide documentation, runbooks, and monitoring for handoff. - Productize patterns into APIs, connectors, reference implementations, developer documentation, and self-service tools; maintain internal agentic tooling and contribute to the platform.

Requirements - Degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent experience, and at least ten years shipping production software across backend, frontend, and integrations. - At least five years operating systems you built, including direct responsibility for production support. - Consulting, professional services, or solutions engineering experience that includes estimating work and costs and managing customer relationships. - Demonstrated production use of Claude Code and related agent tooling, plus strong understanding of context design, tool use, model selection, and non-deterministic failure modes. - Deep experience validating integrations and evaluating agent behavior, along with scaled test automation, API or contract testing, and regression detection. - Practical experience with C#/.NET, Python, TypeScript and React; AWS operations; REST and varied data integration patterns; SQL and NoSQL databases; CI/CD and observability. - Strong customer communication, English fluency, and sound judgment about when to generalize a solution or challenge a proposed approach.

Nice to have - Aviation, aerospace, or defense experience, including familiarity with export-control requirements; ERP integrations; or security testing using OWASP guidance, including its LLM risks guidance.
