About this role
Role overview Lead a distributed web development team responsible for delivering client projects and developing its technical capability. This is a part-time, hands-on leadership role that combines technical direction, people management, delivery oversight, and client communication across WordPress, headless WordPress, and Webflow work.
Responsibilities - Set technical standards, coding conventions, review practices, and tooling choices for the team. - Manage developers through regular one-to-ones, clear expectations, performance support, and skills development. - Guide adoption of Webflow and modern CMS and JAMstack practices. - Review development workflows and improve delivery processes, quality assurance, and workload planning. - Help estimate incoming work and provide technical input to statements of work and change requests. - Serve as an escalation point for technical decisions and represent the team in client and project meetings.
Requirements - Strong technical judgment across modern web development and content management systems. - Experience leading or managing developers, including a distributed team. - Ability to set practical engineering standards and improve team delivery processes. - Clear, professional communication with developers, project stakeholders, and clients. - Ability to coach team members and guide technical upskilling.
