Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)

Role overview A Senior Forward Deployed Engineer position that bridges hands-on technical work with enterprise sales ownership. The role focuses on complex physical-operations environments—designing, configuring, and validating workflows while driving opportunities from initial discovery through commercial close and go-live. It requires a customer-facing presence with regular on-site travel and the ability to articulate both technical depth and business value.

Responsibilities - Drive target accounts from prospecting and discovery through solution design and commercial close - Build and maintain relationships across operational, technical, and executive stakeholders - Configure workflows, rules, forms, logic, automations, and related solution components - Test workflows and troubleshoot configuration, data, integration, and operational issues - Document requirements, assumptions, dependencies, configuration logic, and implementation decisions - Travel to customer sites for workflow mapping, walkthroughs, pilot support, readouts, and go-live activities - Develop repeatable workflow playbooks by industry and use case - Partner with GTM and leadership on account strategy, stakeholder mapping, and opportunity progression

Requirements - 5–8 years in forward-deployed engineering, solutions engineering, technical sales, solutions architecture, or technology consulting - Direct experience working with enterprise customers and owning substantive customer relationships - Background configuring or implementing enterprise software platforms from discovery through go-live - Strong ability to translate technical solutions into operational outcomes and business value - Comfort with APIs, integrations, configuration logic, and technical documentation - Clear communication skills with both business and technical audiences - Comfortable creating structure in fast-moving, ambiguous environments

Nice to have - Experience in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, or physical retail operations - Familiarity with WMS, TMS, ERP, or similar systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Manhattan, or Blue Yonder - Background with AI, computer vision, workflow automation, robotics, IoT, or related physical-AI fields - Prior founder experience
