The work centers on SEO and answer-engine systems that automatically identify what makes a business unique, evaluate local demand, generate relevant content, and evolve strategy based on real-world results. This is a senior, technical-leadership position on a team building self-driving growth infrastructure at scale.
Responsibilities
- Define technical strategy for large-scale SEO and answer-engine systems, translating growth goals into a prioritized roadmap and durable architecture - Lead end-to-end delivery of major initiatives across ingestion, indexing, serving, and content generation workflows - Raise reliability, quality, and observability standards through guardrails, alerting, dashboards, and incident-ready runbooks - Drive a rigorous experimentation and measurement loop with product and data partners to validate impact and diagnose regressions - Mentor engineers, set engineering standards, review designs, and align teams across shared-ownership changes
Requirements
- Strong technical leadership and end-to-end ownership of multi-quarter initiatives - Familiarity with SEO systems at scale, including crawling, indexing, templating, structured data, internal linking, and canonicalization - Comfort defining success metrics, running controlled experiments, and debugging performance changes in rankings, traffic, or conversion - Experience building reliable pipelines and services with strong observability and incident-ready runbooks - Ability to reason about tradeoffs across ingestion, storage, serving, and quality controls - Strong cross-functional partnership skills with product, data, and design
