About this role
Role overview A hands-on cloud engineering role supporting the deployment and operation of large edge and cloud-based use cases, pilots, and proof-of-concept systems. The position works across complicated technical issues, resolving them efficiently while serving as a trusted point of contact for users and customer teams. It contributes to the development of a next-generation management platform for the cloud-edge computing continuum.
Responsibilities - Design, integrate, deploy, and maintain large cloud-based solutions, systems, and services. - Ensure cloud functions operate efficiently and in line with best practices. - Interact with users and use cases, providing systems support, architecture recommendations, implementation, testing, training, and deployment of open source solutions. - Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, document problems, and apply preventive measures. - Monitor installed systems and infrastructure, tracking performance and issues, and updating the cloud environment as needed. - Deliver quality indicators within the assigned project, including journals, status reports, and standard documentation. - Work with development, use-case, and community teams on escalations, discovery sessions, demos, and community engagement, with occasional international travel.
Requirements - Confidence using Git, CI/CD, and remote collaboration tools such as Slack, Zoom, and GitHub, with the ability to work independently. - Strong self-management, accountability, and ownership of tasks and deadlines. - Comfort working in international, distributed teams and contributing to open source communities. - Ability to communicate clearly with users and translate needs into system designs.
