About this role
Role overview Develop iOS features for a digital marketplace serving buyers and sellers. This role focuses on shipping customer-facing work in a shared codebase, with support from senior engineers as the engineer grows ownership of testing, release practices, and common mobile platform concerns. AI tools are used in everyday development, with human review required before changes are merged.
Responsibilities - Implement marketplace features primarily with SwiftUI and contribute to app releases. - Collaborate with product and design partners to shape and deliver customer-facing work. - Add unit and UI tests, work within feature-flagged releases, and follow code review and CI practices. - Use AI tools to assist with coding, refactoring, test creation, debugging, and documentation, then verify suggested changes. - Coordinate with Android colleagues on consistent product behavior across platforms. - Learn shared concerns such as authentication, feature flags, and analytics while building end-to-end feature ownership.
Requirements - At least three years of professional iOS development experience, or equivalent depth. - Proficiency in Swift and experience building applications with SwiftUI. - Experience shipping at least one application through the App Store. - Familiarity with networking, mobile app architecture such as MVVM, feature flags, and product analytics. - Experience with unit or UI testing and comfort working in a team codebase with CI and code review. - Active use of AI development tools and the ability to evaluate their output critically. - A computer science or related degree, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have - Snapshot testing, Swift Package Manager modules, or shared UI component library experience. - Marketplace or e-commerce mobile experience, interest in taking on authentication, flags, or analytics ownership, or familiarity with WebView features.
