About this role
Role overview A Senior UX Researcher with a mixed-methods background will lead end-to-end research that informs strategy and sharpens the customer experience across outdoor mapping products. The role blends generative, evaluative, and behavioral approaches to ground product direction in real user insight, in close partnership with Product, Design, Data Science, Business Intelligence, and Marketing.
Responsibilities - Independently plan and execute qualitative and quantitative studies across the full product lifecycle, choosing methods that match each question. - Build deep knowledge of customers and products to surface the right research questions early and challenge assumptions. - Develop trusted relationships with Product, Design, and partner teams to scope studies collaboratively and translate findings into actionable next steps. - Tell compelling stories with research outputs that inform decisions across product, design, data, and marketing. - Advise partners running their own research, contributing to study design, methodology, and shared standards while exploring where AI can accelerate research workflows. - Operate across qualitative methods such as interviews, usability testing, and diary studies, and quantitative methods using descriptive and inferential statistics on survey, behavioral, and CX data.
Requirements - Significant experience running mixed-methods UX research that demonstrably shaped product strategy and decisions. - Strong command of qualitative methods including interviews, usability testing, and diary studies. - Ability to design and execute quantitative studies using descriptive and inferential statistics. - Sound judgment in choosing and combining approaches, balancing speed with rigor. - Excellent storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional partners. - Background coaching non-researchers and contributing to research standards and practices.
Nice to have - Experience shaping how UX is measured at scale and partnering with Data Science and Business Intelligence teams.
