About this role

Role overview A senior technical lead role guiding business intelligence delivery for a growing data and AI consultancy. The position shapes BI strategy, architects scalable data solutions, and serves as the technical anchor for project teams working directly with enterprise clients across multiple industries.

Responsibilities - Define and drive the BI strategy, ensuring solutions align with each client's business objectives - Mentor a team of BI engineers, fostering innovation and continuous improvement without direct managerial authority - Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable BI solutions - Design and optimize scalable data models, architectures, and ETL pipelines that maintain data integrity and performance - Oversee cloud-based data platforms and warehouse implementations while enforcing governance, security, and documentation standards - Lead development of enterprise dashboards, reports, and self-service BI tools, integrating predictive and AI-driven insights where appropriate

Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field - Six or more years of experience in business intelligence, data engineering, or a closely related role - Expert proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL development - Extensive hands-on experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker - Deep familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data warehousing solutions - Strong scripting skills in Python, R, or similar languages, plus proven ability to lead teams on large-scale BI initiatives

Nice to have - Background in machine learning, AI-driven analytics, or predictive modeling - Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow or dbt - Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD practices for data workflows - Comfort working in Agile environments
