Role overview
A consumer fintech platform is hiring a Full Stack Engineer to join its @Work team, which builds employer benefit features such as earned-wage access, savings, and budgeting tools. The engineer will help create simple, reliable experiences for daily interactions with money, earnings, and pay schedules. The role is remote-friendly within the United States and sits inside a fast-moving, mission-driven organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical design and implementation for projects powering the @Work platform. - Set architectural standards and uphold best practices in code quality, performance, and scalability. - Partner with product, design, and operations to shape and deliver the @Work product strategy. - Optimize systems for reliability, security, and scalability across high-throughput services. - Make technical decisions that balance rapid delivery with long-term sustainability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience building and scaling distributed systems, high-throughput APIs, or data-intensive services. - Solid full-stack engineering skills, including backend architecture and modern frontend frameworks. - Experience designing or working on reliable, secure, high-performance systems, ideally in payments, earned-wage access, or other regulated consumer finance domains. - Clear communication skills and a collaborative working style. - Initiative and a growth mindset, with eagerness to learn and contribute as a team player.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Node, TypeScript, NestJS, Kubernetes, AWS, or React Native. - Experience with AI-assisted development workflows.
