Job details
About this role
Role overview A hybrid support and development role on a SaaS platform serving the nonprofit fundraising space. The position blends hands-on customer support with progressive feature work, requiring comfort navigating an unfamiliar proprietary codebase built primarily by a single technical co-founder. It suits someone energized by variety, speed, and small-team ownership rather than deep specialization.
Responsibilities - Own the L1 support queue during morning hours, triaging and resolving customer-facing technical issues independently - Handle L2 bug resolution including root cause analysis, fixes, and escalation judgment across application and database layers - Debug an existing proprietary codebase quickly and without extensive guidance - Transition to feature development and deeper technical work in the afternoons as ramp-up progresses - Communicate ticket status and blockers proactively without waiting to be prompted - Work within a Microsoft stack including C#, ASP.NET MVC, SQL Server, and Azure
Requirements - 3–5 years of software development experience, full-stack or backend-leaning - Hands-on experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, and SQL Server - Demonstrated ability to debug unfamiliar codebases independently - Front-end basics including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and Bootstrap - Strong written English with a clear, direct, and proactive communication style - Comfort working in a lean startup environment with minimal documentation and high ownership
Nice to have - Background in support engineering, developer support, or hybrid dev/support roles - Experience with Azure infrastructure - Prior work at a startup or on a very small engineering team - Active user of AI-assisted development tools integrated into daily workflow
Benefits and work setup - Remote-first role with onboarding beginning on L1 support during a slower seasonal window before L2 responsibilities expand - Compensation up to $3,100/month depending on experience - Annual bonus up to 150% of one month's salary tied to quarterly performance - 13th-month pay and additional performance-based bonuses - Comprehensive HMO policy covering dependents
