Director, Process Optimization

Role overview

The Director of Process Optimization will establish and lead the process design, standardization, and continuous improvement function across a fast-growing AI infrastructure organization's Business Operations group. The role sets the operating standard for how critical internal and external processes are designed, documented, measured, and improved, transforming complex operational workflows into scalable playbooks, clear ownership models, measurable KPIs, and repeatable processes that support expansion into new geographies.

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and govern standard operating procedures for site operations, service operations, construction-to-operations handoffs, safety compliance, and cross-functional business workflows. - Lead continuous improvement initiatives that reduce operational friction, rework, delivery delays, and process ambiguity across active sites and programmes. - Conduct operational audits across live programmes, identify process gaps, and partner with relevant teams to drive practical remediation. - Build standardized operational playbooks that can be replicated across new geographies, sites, and partner environments. - Own the operational interface between manufacturing and datacenter site operations, ensuring production schedules, inventory readiness, and commissioning timelines are aligned. - Design and implement engagement frameworks for how Business Operations works with Legal, Procurement, Recruitment, Supply Chain, and other partner functions, including intake, execution, tracking, closure, and SLA processes. - Design and maintain a KPI framework measuring adjacent team responsiveness, SLA adherence, and process performance across key workflows. - Manage and develop a Senior Process Manager, setting clear priorities, expectations, and operating rhythms for the function.

Requirements

- 10+ years of experience in process excellence, operations management, business operations, operational transformation, or continuous improvement. - Demonstrated experience building SOPs, operational playbooks, governance models, or process frameworks in complex, multi-site environments. - Background in infrastructure, construction, datacenter, manufacturing, critical facilities, cloud infrastructure, or similarly complex operational settings. - Working knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement principles and how to apply them pragmatically to deliver measurable business outcomes. - Confidence operating across technical and non-technical teams, translating ambiguity into clear workflows, ownership, and execution plans. - Experience designing cross-functional operating models involving Legal, Procurement, Recruitment, Supply Chain, and other adjacent functions.

- Experience scaling process functions through periods of rapid organizational growth. - Familiarity with commissioning workflows, manufacturing quality control integration, or construction-to-operations handoffs in industrial settings.
