Job details
About this role
Role overview A global consumer technology company is hiring a Senior Product Strategy Manager to act as its eyes and ears in the US market. The role focuses on translating American consumer behavior, competitive dynamics, and emerging trends into actionable product strategy that shapes roadmap decisions worldwide. This is a senior individual contributor position, not a traditional market research seat, and it calls for sharp product judgment and a clear point of view on what to build next.
Responsibilities - Build an ongoing, evidence-based understanding of US consumer technology buyers, including purchase drivers, frustrations, unmet needs, and expectations of connected devices and audio products. - Monitor the market through customer feedback, online communities, retail and e-commerce channels, industry research, competitor activity, and shifting cultural and technology trends. - Convert fragmented signals into clear insights, product opportunities, and prioritized recommendations for global product, design, engineering, marketing, and commercial teams. - Analyze the competitive landscape and articulate not only what rivals are doing, but why those moves matter and where the white space lies for the company. - Bring a US-centric perspective into product planning, roadmap discussions, and early-stage development across categories such as audio, wearables, smartphones, and smart hardware. - Explore emerging technologies and changing consumer behaviors to identify where the market is heading, not just where it sits today.
Requirements - At least five years of experience in product strategy, product management, consumer insights, market intelligence, user research, or a closely related field. - Deep familiarity with the US consumer technology and consumer electronics market, including retail, direct-to-consumer, and e-commerce dynamics. - Strong product sense and the ability to form a defensible point of view on what consumers will value, going beyond what dashboards show. - Demonstrated success turning consumer, market, and competitive insights into roadmap or product recommendations. - Skill in combining qualitative and quantitative evidence to separate signal from noise. - Clear, persuasive communication style with experience influencing global, cross-functional stakeholders, plus comfort working independently in ambiguous problem spaces.
Nice to have - Direct experience with TWS earbuds, headphones, speakers, smart audio, wearables, smartphones, or other connected consumer hardware. - Background at a consumer technology, consumer electronics, or hardware brand. - Track record of partnering across US and global product teams. - Genuine curiosity about how people buy and use technology, comfort with ambiguity, and a willingness to challenge assumptions when the evidence warrants it.
