Founding Engineer (Full-Stack or Mobile)

Role overview

Take senior ownership of a marketplace used by brands commissioning videos and creators managing their work. You may lead the web marketplace across campaign, matching, delivery, revision, and payment flows, or own the mobile experience creators use day to day. In either track, you will make high-leverage technical and product decisions, set engineering standards, and improve a live product used by both sides of the marketplace.

Responsibilities

- Own a major product surface from data and APIs through user interfaces or mobile workflows. - Identify friction for brands and creators, turn it into a prioritized roadmap, and ship measurable improvements. - Establish practical standards for architecture, testing, observability, security, accessibility, and performance. - Act as a senior technical voice in decisions about implementation and product direction. - Document the technical landscape and key decisions so future engineers can contribute quickly. - In the first six months, understand system risks, deliver a meaningful end-to-end improvement, and create an initial technical roadmap with a foundational improvement.

Requirements

- At least 7 years of experience building production software, including senior- or staff-level scope. - Previous ownership of a product or platform within a small team. - For the full-stack path: comfort with relational data, APIs, TypeScript, React, and infrastructure. - For the mobile path: experience shipping and maintaining a production mobile application used regularly by customers. - Clear communication of technical trade-offs and confidence making product decisions. - Fluent English, which is the working language.

Nice to have

- Experience with marketplaces, payments, or video infrastructure. - Ability to work across tracks, such as a full-stack engineer with mobile experience or a mobile engineer comfortable going deep on APIs. - Early-stage or first-engineer experience. - Portuguese or Spanish language skills.
