Role overview
Join an early-stage team building an open-source security runtime for autonomous AI agents. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll own meaningful pieces of a public codebase, contribute to a commercial security product, and ship work that developers building agentic systems actually depend on.
Responsibilities
- Contribute core features, fixes, and tooling to a public, open-source runtime focused on AI agent security - Maintain client SDKs across multiple programming languages, ensuring feature parity, release quality, documentation, and issue triage - Build security primitives covering execution interception, policy evaluation, attestation, and capability management - Contribute to a commercial security product alongside the open-source runtime - Share ownership of internal infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines, build and release workflows, and observability tooling - Engage the open-source community by triaging issues, reviewing external pull requests, writing design notes, and helping new contributors land their first changes
Requirements
- Demonstrable talent and a strong track record of contributing to open-source projects - Experience writing production-quality code in at least one of Rust, Go, TypeScript, or Python - Comfort with systems-level work, including execution interception, policy engines, or related security primitives - Ability to work independently in a small, high-trust team with real ownership from day one - Strong written communication skills for code review, design notes, and public discussion
Nice to have
- Prior conference speaking or technical writing experience - Familiarity with cryptography, attestation, or signing infrastructure - Contributions to widely-used open-source projects
