Senior Data Engineer (US only)

Role overview A senior engineering position focused on designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based data platforms for client engagements. The role blends hands-on pipeline development with technical leadership, guiding a team of data engineers while partnering with architects and business stakeholders to deliver reliable analytics-ready data.

Responsibilities - Architect end-to-end data pipelines that ingest, process, transform, and load information from diverse sources into cloud environments. - Partner with data architects and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure pipelines are scalable, performant, and resilient. - Implement complex transformation logic that prepares raw data for downstream analytics and reporting. - Build, tune, and maintain ETL/ELT workflows, upholding data quality and integrity standards. - Work directly with client stakeholders to clarify data requirements and translate them into actionable engineering deliverables. - Mentor and lead a team of data engineers, encouraging innovation and a collaborative engineering culture. - Track emerging cloud and data engineering practices and apply relevant improvements.

Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline. - 5+ years of professional data engineering experience with a strong cloud focus. - Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2. - Proficiency with Spark programming in Python, PySpark, and SparkSQL. - Experience orchestrating workflows with Azure Data Factory and Logic Apps, plus event streaming with Kafka and Azure Event Hubs. - Solid grasp of data modeling, ETL/ELT patterns, data warehousing, and both SQL and NoSQL databases. - Demonstrated leadership ability, with a track record of mentoring engineers and solving complex production issues.

Nice to have - Relevant Microsoft Azure data engineering or analytics certifications.
