About this role
Role overview A senior-level DevOps role focused on owning and modernizing CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling across a microservices-based platform. The position partners closely with engineering teams to reduce developer friction, strengthen deployment practices, and embed AI-assisted automation into delivery workflows.
Responsibilities - Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines as code across multiple services and engineering teams - Improve deployment safety using progressive delivery strategies such as canary, blue/green, and feature-flag releases - Build reusable pipeline templates, shared libraries, and self-service tooling that simplify onboarding and shipping - Optimize build performance through caching, parallelization, and other techniques that reduce feedback time - Integrate AI-assisted capabilities into developer workflows for pipeline diagnostics, test generation or selection, code review, and failure triage - Implement software supply-chain practices including dependency scanning, artifact signing, and SBOM generation - Use Infrastructure-as-Code to provision and maintain CI/CD infrastructure - Monitor pipeline health and deployment success, using those signals to drive continuous improvements
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience - 5+ years of DevOps or software engineering experience with a strong focus on CI/CD and developer tooling - Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Buildkite - Experience designing pipelines as code and creating reusable pipeline templates - Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes, including deploying containerized applications through CI/CD - Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and/or Ansible - Strong Linux administration and scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Go - Experience with middleware or messaging technologies such as Kafka, Redis, or RabbitMQ - Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK
Nice to have - Progressive delivery tooling such as Argo Rollouts, Flagger, or feature-flag platforms - Software supply-chain security tooling such as Nexus or Sigstore/cosign
