Fintech QA Engineer

Role overview Help protect the reliability of financial products across web, mobile, and API experiences. You’ll test customer journeys and the transaction systems behind them, investigate failures carefully, and work with engineering to make quality part of delivery.

Responsibilities - Plan and perform exploratory, functional, and regression testing across web, mobile, and API journeys. - Test payment flows, balances, fees, currency precision, refunds, and reconciliation in successful and failure scenarios. - Probe edge cases such as repeated requests, delayed notifications, timeouts, retries, and interrupted transfers. - Build and maintain automated API and end-to-end checks with repeatable environments and reliable test data. - Work with engineers to verify access controls, sensitive-data handling, and audit records. - Document defects with evidence, support reproduction, and confirm fixes before release.

Requirements - Practical QA experience in fintech, payments, banking, or other transaction-heavy software. - Experience testing REST APIs and interpreting requests, responses, and application logs. - Hands-on automation experience with a tool such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Appium. - Working knowledge of SQL, Git, and testing within a CI/CD process. - Understanding of asynchronous processing, idempotency, and financial data accuracy. - Clear written communication and ability to explain the impact of a defect.
