Role overview A Salesforce and AI consulting practice is hiring a Technical Architect to lead the design of Agentforce-powered solutions for enterprise clients. The architect owns end-to-end technical solution design across Agentforce, Data 360, and the broader Salesforce platform, guiding delivery teams from discovery through deployment. The role also reaches into adjacent agentic platforms, with some work involving AWS and Google Cloud environments.
Responsibilities - Lead the complete technical solution design, including agent topics, instructions, actions and automation, deployment methods, and supporting data structures. - Translate business needs into well-architected solutions in collaboration with project managers, solution architects, developers, designers, and customer stakeholders. - Oversee and contribute across the full project lifecycle, from initial design through development, testing, and deployment. - Design integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems, including REST API connections and Data 360 data structures. - Apply AI capabilities such as agentic systems and generative AI features in delivered solutions. - Engage directly with customers to shape the right technical approach and see it through to production.
Requirements - Six or more years of experience in application and software development. - Four or more years of experience with Salesforce in a development or technical architecture role. - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field. - Proficiency in Apex and JavaScript, with exposure to additional modern languages such as Python, Java, or C#. - Hands-on experience developing Salesforce technologies including Flows, Lightning Web Components, or Visualforce. - Experience designing and building Agentforce agents, workflows, and automations, and designing solutions on Salesforce Data 360. - Experience designing integrations between Salesforce and third-party systems via REST APIs, using source control and branching or pull-request strategies. - Familiarity with CI/CD solutions and DevOps principles, plus front-end web fundamentals such as HTML and CSS. - Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical detail to audiences ranging from developers to customer executives.
Nice to have - Direct experience with Agentic AI systems and generative AI capabilities. - Deeper Data 360 experience, including unstructured data model objects, retrievers, search indexes, retrieval-augmented generation, and identity resolution. - Hands-on use of Agentforce Agent Script for next-generation authoring.
Benefits and work setup - Remote or hybrid options with a U.S. delivery model and an anticipated travel commitment of up to 25% for client-facing work. - Annual salary ranges published by U.S. location, with figures of 87,400 to 266,300 USD for the New York / New Jersey area, 100,500 to 245,000 USD for Washington state, and a general range of 87,400 to 266,300 USD referenced for other U.S. locations.
