This entry-level pre-sales role partners with mid-market Account Executives as the technical counterpart during customer engagements. The position supports security and networking transformation conversations through discovery calls, product demos, and proof-of-value work, with a structured ramp, hands-on enablement, and direct mentorship from senior Solutions Engineers. It is designed as a long-term launchpad for a career in sales engineering within the cloud and AI security space.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities, surface customer pain points, and align platform capabilities with technical and business requirements - Deliver clear, engaging product demonstrations and technical presentations to audiences ranging from hands-on practitioners to security leadership - Support proof-of-value engagements, including environment setup, configuration, success-criteria tracking, and results readouts - Respond to technical questions and contribute to security questionnaires, RFPs, and architecture reviews - Build and maintain deep platform knowledge spanning secure web gateway, CASB, zero-trust network access, data loss prevention, and AI/GenAI security use cases - Stay current on broader industry trends including SASE/SSE, zero trust, cloud security, and competitive offerings while troubleshooting evaluation issues and channeling field feedback to product teams
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in a technical role such as IT, help desk, systems or network administration, security operations, consulting, or a technical internship - Working knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, TLS, proxies, and firewalls - Familiarity with core security concepts such as authentication, encryption, threat types, and data protection - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly - Curiosity, willingness to learn quickly, and comfort receiving feedback - Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment

- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or SaaS applications such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or Salesforce - Exposure to identity, endpoint management, or mobile device management tools - Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, CCNA, or cloud fundamentals credentials - Internship, co-op, or early-career experience in pre-sales, customer success, or technical support - Experience presenting to groups in professional, academic, or community settings - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Benefits and work setup
