Software Engineer (Mobile)

Role overview Take end-to-end responsibility for mobile applications on iOS and Android, from architecture and feature development to store releases and production support. Work with product, design, backend, and infrastructure colleagues to deliver secure, dependable, and easy-to-use mobile experiences for a network security platform.

Responsibilities - Develop and evolve mobile apps, maintaining their stability, usability, and performance. - Set architectural direction and practices for code quality, testing, monitoring, and releases. - Build polished experiences that handle authentication, networking, and application state reliably. - Deliver features from planning through production in collaboration with product and engineering teams. - Improve mobile build and release workflows for the App Store and Google Play. - Investigate production issues, monitor app performance, review code, and help improve engineering standards.

Requirements - At least five years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial work on production mobile apps. - Strong native development experience with Swift for iOS and/or Kotlin or Java for Android; willingness to contribute across both platforms or help establish a scalable cross-platform approach. - Deep understanding of mobile architecture and sound engineering practices. - Experience building reliable authentication, networking, and state-management flows. - Knowledge of unit, integration, and UI testing, with the ability to improve test coverage. - Experience releasing apps to both major mobile app stores and handling production debugging and performance monitoring. - Strong English communication, collaboration, and independent decision-making skills.

Nice to have - Experience developing for Android TV or tvOS. - Knowledge of VPNs, WireGuard, Zero Trust, device posture, or certificates. - Familiarity with mobile CI/CD tools such as Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions. - Experience with crash reporting and performance monitoring tools, open source, or cloud and backend systems.
