Role overview
Own the infrastructure, deployment automation, operational reliability, and security posture of a cloud-native, serverless platform running on AWS. This senior, highly autonomous DevSecOps role is centered on solving ambiguous problems, turning infrastructure and security controls into code, improving developer productivity, and setting engineering standards across multiple delivery teams.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support production infrastructure, evaluate performance and bottlenecks, and implement improvements through controlled change processes. - Design, implement, and operate secure, fault-tolerant enterprise infrastructure and scalable cloud integrations. - Establish build and release practices that provide repeatability, traceability, auditability, and reliable delivery across environments. - Maintain highly available source control, continuous integration, release-management, and change-management tooling. - Build infrastructure automation and deployment frameworks, automate security controls, and eliminate repetitive operational work. - Partner with cloud infrastructure, security, architecture, and application teams to enable self-service delivery, monitoring, self-healing, and higher developer productivity.
Requirements
- Experience with AWS DevOps, cloud architecture, networking, deployment processes, Infrastructure as Code, and Git-based source control. - Experience solving complex technical problems and developing software in an Agile, iterative environment. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical strategies to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. - Detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and comfortable taking initiative in a changing environment. - Ability to coach, mentor, and educate teams on DevSecOps practices and tooling. - Ability to obtain a security clearance; knowledge of Federal Government NIST compliance is preferred.
Benefits and work setup
- Hybrid work is available; associates living within 30 miles of an office generally work 24 hours per week onsite, subject to management discretion. - External applicants residing in Alabama, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Washington are not currently considered. - Annual compensation is listed at $120,000–$158,000, depending on experience. - Benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSA and FSA options, paid time off, retirement or student-loan support, life and disability insurance, employee assistance, stock purchase, tuition reimbursement, incentive pay, and wellness programs. - Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
