About this role
Role overview As a Senior Customer AI Engineer, you will help technical customers move AI workloads from proof of concept into reliable production and scale. The work combines hands-on engineering, delivery ownership, and close collaboration with customer teams and internal product and infrastructure specialists, with a focus on performance, reliability, and cost.
Responsibilities - Lead customer deployments from proof of concept through production, improving time to launch and value. - Understand customer architectures and use cases, then monitor and improve latency, throughput, reliability, and operating costs. - Find and address performance or infrastructure bottlenecks before they affect production use. - Advise customer engineering teams on implementation and optimization practices, translating technical challenges into practical actions. - Coordinate response to production incidents and communicate clearly with customers and internal teams. - Share customer feedback with product and infrastructure teams and identify opportunities to improve or expand deployments.
Requirements - Practical experience with inference frameworks such as vLLM, TensorRT, or similar tools. - Solid understanding of cloud or infrastructure systems and distributed systems or high-load applications. - Ability to troubleshoot system performance and reason about AI/ML workloads, including LLM inference. - Experience working directly with technical customers, such as software engineering or machine learning teams. - Clear communication, proactive ownership, and the ability to manage multiple customers and priorities.
Nice to have - Experience with GPU workloads or AI infrastructure. - A background in solutions engineering, site reliability, or technical support in a business-to-business setting.
