Job details
About this role
Role overview A fully remote, full-time opportunity for a senior engineer to lead quality assurance for a suite of mobile applications and the backend services that support them. The position spans Flutter-based client work, native iOS and Android behavior, and API-driven workflows, with an emphasis on making features reliable, testable, and production-ready. It suits someone who reads code comfortably across multiple languages and can build testing practices for fast-moving mobile products.
Responsibilities - Own end-to-end quality across mobile client behavior, backend integrations, and critical user journeys. - Design, run, and maintain both manual and automated test plans for new features, regression coverage, and backend-connected flows. - Exercise Flutter-based UI behavior, state transitions, navigation patterns, device conditions, and edge cases. - Validate mobile-to-backend workflows including authentication, API responses, sync behavior, offline handling, retry logic, and data consistency. - Partner with mobile and backend engineers to reproduce issues, isolate root causes, and verify fixes before release. - Build and maintain automated coverage for high-priority areas using mobile testing tools and frameworks. - Author detailed bug reports covering reproduction steps, expected versus actual behavior, environment, and severity. - Run smoke, regression, exploratory, and cross-platform validation on iOS and Android ahead of releases. - Contribute to QA process definitions, test standards, and quality gates for mobile and backend-connected features.
Requirements - Significant experience owning quality for production mobile applications. - Strong familiarity with Flutter, plus working knowledge of native iOS and Android behavior. - Ability to read and reason about code across multiple languages and understand API-driven backends. - Experience designing and executing manual and automated test plans. - Comfort with mobile testing tools and frameworks for automation coverage. - Clear written communication for bug reports, validation notes, and release documentation.
Benefits and work setup - Remote, full-time position on the QA team.
