This senior pre-sales position shapes technical strategy for high-value, multi-practice opportunities, owning solution architecture from discovery through design validation and deal close. The role partners closely with account executives, practice leaders, and principal architects to deliver cohesive enterprise solutions, while also serving as a trusted advisor to clients and a mentor to junior team members. It is a remote role based in Massachusetts with up to 40% travel expected.
Responsibilities
- Lead sophisticated, multi-domain discovery sessions focused on business outcomes rather than product pitches - Take full ownership of solution architecture and technical strategy for medium to large-scale opportunities - Proactively identify cross-practice opportunities spanning networking, data center, cloud, security, and platform engineering - Validate solution designs, bills of materials, and statements of work in collaboration with practice leaders - Influence deal strategy, qualification, and positioning alongside account executives - Act as a senior technical escalation point during later stages of the sales cycle - Mentor architects and engineers in consultative discovery, solution design, and best practices - Contribute to reusable solution patterns, reference architectures, and internal enablement resources
Requirements
- 7–10 years of experience in solution architecture, pre-sales engineering, or technical consulting - Demonstrated success designing and selling comprehensive, multi-domain enterprise solutions - Strong consultative discovery skills with a track record of guiding client decision-making - Broad technical proficiency across at least two core practice areas (e.g., networking, data center, cloud, security, platform engineering) - Ability to independently manage complex technical sales cycles - Relevant OEM certifications are highly preferred - Must be based in the United States and reside in Massachusetts
