About this role

Role overview Join a business intelligence team as a product-minded senior BI engineer responsible for trusted KPI reporting, self-service analytics, and the data foundations that support business decisions. The work spans data quality, reporting pipelines, semantic and dimensional modeling, dashboard development, ad-hoc analysis, and close partnership with product, marketing, data engineering, and business teams.

Responsibilities - Own maintenance and business logic for reporting data pipelines, ensuring data quality and consistency. - Investigate conflicting data sources, diagnose KPI changes, and identify the underlying business drivers. - Build clear dashboards, reports, visualizations, and recommendations that help stakeholders understand user behavior. - Design scalable data models and contribute to a curated reporting architecture that enables self-service analytics. - Improve the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of the BI environment. - Perform deep-dive analysis for questions from stakeholders across the organization. - Partner with data engineering to deliver projects that unlock useful, well-structured data. - Serve as a trusted technical and analytical partner to product, marketing, and core business teams.

Requirements - 4–6 years in BI engineering, analytics engineering, data engineering, or a comparable technology role. - Advanced or expert SQL skills. - Proficiency with a visualization platform such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. - Familiarity with Python or R for analytical work. - Experience building data warehouses and modeling data through ETL pipelines, including platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery. - Ability to translate business needs into maintainable technical solutions and manage cross-functional projects. - A curious, investigative approach to understanding why metrics move and validating conclusions with data. - A relevant master’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have - Experience creating AI-ready data models or semantic layers and using data cataloging tools. - Experience with consumer-facing subscription, direct-to-consumer, mobile, or web products, including acquisition, retention, and engagement metrics.
