Role overview
A non-profit-backed technology organization behind a privacy-focused browser used by hundreds of millions of people is hiring a senior pre-sales engineer to accelerate adoption of its enterprise browser product across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland). This highly customer-facing position partners with the sales team to help large organizations evaluate, validate, and roll out the browser inside complex, regulated IT environments. The role blends deep technical credibility, enterprise architecture experience, and consultative selling, with a strong emphasis on security, deployment, and interoperability challenges.
Responsibilities
- Partner with sales to support strategic enterprise opportunities across DACH, acting as the technical lead throughout the deal cycle. - Lead technical discovery, solution design, and architecture workshops with stakeholders spanning security, infrastructure, IAM, endpoint management, and digital workplace teams. - Design and run pilots, proofs of concept, and rollout plans that move customers confidently from evaluation to production deployment. - Validate interoperability with enterprise systems including SSO, MFA, SIEM, DLP, CASB, proxies, certificate/PKI infrastructure, and browser policy frameworks. - Identify and mitigate technical risks early, covering application compatibility, certificate handling, policy enforcement, and deployment complexity. - Build reusable technical assets such as reference architectures, deployment guides, validation plans, and enablement materials, and support partners involved in delivery.
Requirements
- 7+ years in a senior Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Security Architect, or Technical Account Manager role. - Deep knowledge of the DACH IT landscape, ideally with exposure to public sector, financial services, or critical infrastructure operators. - Strong background in enterprise security, endpoint management, browser security, Zero Trust, IAM, or digital workplace infrastructure. - Hands-on knowledge of Windows enterprise deployment, GPO/MDM policy management, certificates/PKI/TLS, SSO/MFA/IdP integrations, SIEM/DLP/CASB ecosystems, and Kubernetes/Helm. - Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into technical configurations and sales evidence, and to communicate clearly with both engineers and senior stakeholders. - Native-level German fluency plus strong written and verbal English.
