About this role
Role overview
A highly visible data science role partnering with product, engineering, sales, finance, and senior leadership to shape a fast-growing digital advertising business while protecting user privacy. The position combines deep analytical work with executive-level decision support, focusing on measurement, experimentation, and revenue insight for a complex monetization product.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead data science partner for the advertising business, identifying and prioritizing the highest-impact opportunities across product, engineering, sales, finance, and leadership. - Own complex analytical problems end-to-end, from framing the question and selecting methods to validating results, communicating recommendations, and driving follow-through. - Develop measurement frameworks for new and evolving ad products, including success metrics, experimentation, instrumentation, and reporting. - Analyze advertising revenue and performance to surface key drivers, evaluate trade-offs, and inform product and business decisions. - Translate complex findings, assumptions, and uncertainty into clear recommendations for technical partners and senior executives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or applied quantitative roles with demonstrated ownership of complex, business-critical analytical work. - Experience with digital advertising or a related monetization business and an understanding of how product, user, advertiser, and revenue outcomes interact. - Strong technical foundation in Python and SQL, with applied experience in statistical, experimental, forecasting, and analytical methods. - Demonstrated ability to frame ambiguous problems independently and drive work from an open-ended question through a clear recommendation. - Strong analytical judgment that balances rigor with pragmatism, with the ability to pressure-test results and communicate uncertainty. - Proven ability to build trusted relationships and communicate complex or challenging findings to technical and executive audiences.
