Role overview

A senior security engineering position focused on incident response within a SecOps function, responsible for detecting, investigating, and mitigating attacks against consumer-facing products and services used by a global audience. The role acts as a trusted partner across the organization during high-pressure events while driving proactive improvements to tooling, processes, and defenses.

Responsibilities

- Identify and respond to security incidents at global scale across diverse products and services - Serve as incident commander, driving incidents through the full response lifecycle from detection to post-mortem - Design and maintain a portfolio of alerts, automated actions, playbooks, and escalation workflows supporting a 24/7 response capability - Conduct threat hunting activities, anticipate emerging threats, and recommend forward-looking tools, technologies, and processes - Research threat intelligence reports, triage findings, and manage resulting remediation workflows - Partner with stakeholders across teams to maintain a continuous feedback loop covering preparation, identification, analysis, containment, and lessons learned - Participate in an on-call rotation

Requirements

- 5+ years of demonstrated experience managing security incidents at global scale in SOC, PSIRT, or CSIRT environments - Deep expertise with SIEM platforms such as ELK, Google BigQuery, or Splunk, with Splunk proficiency preferred - Hands-on experience with leading EDR tools and the ability to use endpoint telemetry for root-cause investigation - Proficiency with SOAR tools such as Tines or Splunk SOAR - Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups - Practical experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, Heroku, or Microsoft Azure

- Real-world software development or engineering operations experience for consumer products and services - A bachelor's degree in a technology-focused field
