Responsibilities - Investigate complex issues within the planning and controls stack, parsing logs and replaying simulation data to identify the root cause of anomalous vehicle behavior. - Lead the development, testing, and deployment of software fixes when urgent business needs demand accelerated resolutions. - Design and build internal tooling and automation scripts to streamline log analysis, codify recurring patterns, and raise overall team throughput. - Serve as a technical liaison across teams, ensuring on-road issues are aligned with current development priorities and ongoing engineering work. - Contribute to production release processes, applying disciplined change management and version control practices at scale.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field; a Master's or PhD is preferred. - 3+ years of professional C++ development experience, with a focus on high-performance, resilient systems. - Comfort navigating and contributing to large, complex codebases where modularity and documentation are essential. - Demonstrated experience delivering software in production, including CI/CD pipelines, large-scale version control, and rigorous release cycles. - Strong commitment to safety, recognizing the high stakes of code that interacts with the physical world.

Nice to have - Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and GitLab. - Background in robotics middleware (such as ROS or DDS) or autonomous systems development.
