Job details
About this role
Role overview Own the dashboard and business intelligence layer for a data platform used in robotics and physical AI. You’ll build a Python and FastAPI backend alongside a multi-page web interface that helps analysts, project leads, and operations staff explore sensor data and manage platform activity from a browser. The role combines full-stack delivery with product decisions about how complex data becomes clear and useful to non-technical users.
Responsibilities - Build and maintain dashboard features across the backend and frontend. - Enable users to browse data sequences, monitor ingestion, track storage use, and transfer data through the browser. - Shape how high-frequency, multimodal sensor data is organized and presented for analysis and operational use. - Add client-side interactivity where it improves the experience while keeping pages server-rendered and progressively enhanced. - Make technical decisions independently and deliver product work as part of a small team.
Requirements - Experience building backend services with Python and FastAPI. - Ability to create multi-page applications using server-rendered HTML and progressive enhancement. - Understanding of business intelligence concepts and what makes data interfaces useful to non-technical users. - Comfortable taking ownership and making technical decisions in a small team. - Fluent written and spoken English. - Eligible to work in Italy; remote work does not remove the local work-authorization requirement.
Nice to have - Experience with htmx or interest in server-rendered, progressively enhanced interfaces. - Familiarity with robotics or sensor data, data processing libraries such as Pandas or Polars, data engineering, or data pipelines. - Open-source contributions.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote with flexible hours and optional office access in Reggio Emilia. - Salary range of €35,000–€60,000, adjusted for location, experience, and level. - Welfare package and stock options. - Full-stack ownership of a product built on an open-source core.
