Staff Engineer, Agents

Role overview This Staff Engineer role focuses on a recently launched product in the crypto and digital-asset space that enables transactions to flow directly through AI agents without exposing underlying user credentials. Working alongside a Chief Engineer and a small, highly focused team, the engineer will act closer to a founding contributor than a typical staff-level hire, driving the product from ideation through to production. It suits someone who thrives in fast-moving, high-accountability environments and enjoys owning significant areas of a product end-to-end.

Responsibilities - Own major product areas from problem definition through to shipping and iteration in production. - Help take a recently launched product through its next phase of 0-to-1 development and growth. - Build new payment and peer-to-peer transfer experiences designed for AI interfaces. - Develop integrations across AI platforms, third-party applications, and the broader product ecosystem. - Create the infrastructure and product experiences needed to onboard new applications and integrations. - Work closely with Product to turn ambitious ideas into simple, usable experiences, particularly around onboarding and UX. - Reason from first principles on hard technical and product problems and move across the stack to where impact is highest. - Use AI tools extensively to accelerate output while maintaining strong technical judgement.

Requirements - Significant engineering experience with a record of owning production-grade systems end-to-end. - Comfort working across the stack and switching between product, infrastructure, and integration problems. - Strong reasoning and decision-making skills in ambiguous, fast-moving contexts. - Ability to collaborate tightly with product, design, and other engineers on a small senior team. - Pragmatic approach to shipping without waiting for perfect information.

Nice to have - Background in payments, wallets, crypto, stablecoins, or tokenised assets. - Experience building agent-driven or AI-native product experiences. - Comfort with founding-stage or early-stage team dynamics.
