Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the data strategy guiding how customers experience the product day to day - Build and enforce best practices for experimentation so teams can make evidence-based decisions - Partner with product, engineering, design, and research leaders to develop and iterate on new product ideas - Set standards for data work across the organization, championing knowledge sharing and continuous improvement - Mentor data scientists and analytics engineers, raising the technical bar of the wider team - Question existing measurement frameworks and propose stronger ways to evaluate success
Requirements
- Track record of working effectively within cross-functional, fast-moving product teams - Strategic thinker who can connect commercial product decisions to customer value through data - Enthusiasm for mentoring and developing other data scientists and analytics engineers - Hands-on experience with experimentation, causal inference, or similar techniques applied to challenging problems - Comfort digging into nuanced data to build foundational knowledge for new features and products - Strong opinions on how to measure success, with the willingness to challenge conventional approaches
Nice to have
- Background supporting products in borrowing, growth, payments, financial crime, wealth, or core banking domains - Familiarity with self-serve analytics tooling such as Looker
