Ruby on Rails developer

Role overview This full-time role is for a Ruby on Rails developer joining a fast-moving SaaS team building tools that help athletes and sports organizations simplify their day-to-day. The position is based in Quebec City with the option to work remotely, and the work spans the full development lifecycle of a growing product. You will be trusted to innovate, take ownership of modules and features, and help shape the technical direction of the platform.

Responsibilities - Develop new modules and features in Ruby on Rails. - Contribute to the evolution of the product's architecture and codebase. - Write tests and participate in code reviews to maintain quality control. - Automate processes to support continuous development. - Stay current with relevant technology trends and bring findings back to the team.

Requirements - Comfort with the Ruby language and the Ruby on Rails framework. - Proactive and autonomous working style, with strong attention to detail and code quality. - Code that is understandable, efficient, and maintainable. - Advanced written English skills. - Interest in learning and working in a fast-paced SaaS environment.

Nice to have - Experience developing REST and/or GraphQL APIs. - TDD experience, ideally with RSpec. - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS. - Interest in DevOps, including CI/CD tools, Docker, or Jenkins. - Curiosity about or experience with artificial intelligence. - Prior SaaS experience. - Personal involvement in the sports world.
