Job details
About this role
Role overview Join a dedicated growth pod focused on expanding the reach of a consumer personal finance platform. As a Senior or Staff Product Designer, you will own end-to-end design for onboarding, activation, and engagement flows, partnering closely with product, data, and engineering to ship experiments that move users toward financial success.
Responsibilities - Design and ship end-to-end mobile and web experiences with a high bar for visual polish, interaction quality, and systems consistency. - Scope and run rapid A/B experiments, prototype concepts, and synthesize user research into actionable design improvements. - Partner with product managers and engineers to define features, navigate technical constraints, and ensure clean handoff and implementation. - Contribute to and evolve the shared design system, balancing new patterns with existing standards. - Take ownership within the first 90 days of onboarding flows and early-lifecycle experiences for new members. - Translate growth and retention metrics into design hypotheses and measurable improvements.
Requirements - 4+ years of product design experience across mobile and web at a consumer-focused company. - Strong visual design craft with sharp attention to detail and a systems-thinking mindset. - Demonstrated ability to design both rapid experiments and 0-1 end-to-end product experiences. - Comfort collaborating closely with founders, product managers, and engineers in a fast-paced, high-velocity environment. - Portfolio showing clear process, decision-making, and shipped outcomes.
Nice to have - Ability to work autonomously, self-pace by project size, and proactively raise blockers. - Fluency jumping between Figma, AI-assisted design tools, and code to pick the right medium for the problem. - Curiosity about the rapidly changing design and AI landscape. - Familiarity with paid and organic marketing channels and how they inform acquisition and onboarding design.
Benefits and work setup - Fully remote with no central office; choose the environment where you do your best work. - Synchronous core collaboration hours roughly 9 AM to 2 PM PT, with async work across time zones. - Competitive cash and equity compensation. - Stipend to set up a home or co-working workspace. - Location-based benefits, with US employees eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) contributions. - Unlimited paid time off plus a three-day weekend every month via a company-wide day off the first Friday. - Equal opportunity employer with fair-chance hiring practices.
