About this role
Role overview Design and build backend APIs and services that support real-time call routing and high-volume event processing. The work spans multi-carrier voice and messaging integrations, tenant-aware data systems, and dependable background job pipelines.
Responsibilities - Architect REST and WebSocket APIs for call management. - Build adapters that connect multiple carriers for voice and SMS routing. - Design and tune PostgreSQL schemas and queries for multi-tenant workloads. - Own job pipelines for dialing, recording, and compliance tasks using BullMQ. - Take part in on-call coverage and respond to production incidents.
Requirements - At least five years of backend engineering experience with Node.js and TypeScript. - Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and message queues. - Comfort with CI/CD, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code. - Strong written communication for an async-first team.
Nice to have - Familiarity with VoIP technologies and protocols such as SIP, RTP, or WebRTC.
