Role overview
A senior software engineer role on an enterprise platform team increasingly focused on agentic and AI-driven engineering. The role calls for engineers who have meaningfully adapted their day-to-day workflow around AI-assisted and agentic development tools and who can raise the bar for the broader team. Responsibilities span coding, testing, and implementing products across a variety of programming languages for web + AI-based enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
- Create code that meets design specifications, follows standards, and is high quality and easy to maintain - Integrate AI-assisted development tools into daily engineering work to materially improve velocity and quality - Manage context and harness engineering to produce reliable, high-quality output from agentic tools - Collaborate across teams to ensure project requirements are met - Perform unit, automation, and peer testing to confirm full product coverage - Lead or co-lead projects and design efforts as needed - Contribute to code refactoring, process improvements, technology choices, and emerging AI-driven practices - Mentor others on effective and responsible use of AI development tools
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in a software development role - Demonstrated, hands-on adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools as part of regular workflow, with concrete examples of how those tools changed the approach to building software - Proficiency with modern backend languages or stacks such as Go, Java, Python, TypeScript/Node, or Vanilla JS/PReact - Experience designing and implementing Web Services and REST APIs - Working knowledge of RDBMS DDL and SQL, ORM frameworks, CSS, Git, and Continuous Integration - Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred) and familiarity with authentication and security protocols including OAuth2 and OIDC - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to have
- Experience working in a Kanban environment - Experience building or integrating LLM-powered features directly into a product, including RAG, agents, or tool use, and instrumenting them for observability - Experience with infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and platform engineering - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
