Senior Java Developer

Role overview This senior engineering position focuses on designing, building, and maintaining Java-based software systems within an established IT organization. The work spans hands-on development, architectural input, and code-quality leadership, contributing to production systems that support internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain Java applications and backend services used by the engineering organization - Participate in architectural discussions, technical planning, and estimation for new initiatives - Review code, enforce coding standards, and mentor less experienced team members - Collaborate with product, QA, and operations colleagues to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions - Investigate and resolve production defects, performance issues, and integration challenges

Requirements - Several years of professional experience as a Java developer, including work on sizeable or production systems - Strong grasp of object-oriented programming, common design patterns, and core software engineering principles - Practical experience with Java frameworks, build tools, testing libraries, and version control workflows - Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code - Solid analytical and communication skills for working in a collaborative team environment
