Product Engineer

Role overview A remote-first opportunity for a product engineer to help build and evolve a health-focused marketplace connecting people with psychologists across more than forty countries. The role goes beyond writing code, expecting strong product thinking, deep user understanding, and close collaboration with the product team and founders. It also involves shaping AI-powered experiences, including an AI companion that supports users interested in mental health support but not yet ready to begin therapy.

Responsibilities - Investigate user needs and surface the most pressing problems through qualitative understanding and product discovery. - Shape and evaluate potential solutions, balancing user value, technical feasibility, and business impact. - Contribute to AI-powered experiences such as workflows and an AI companion designed for users not yet ready to start therapy. - Apply AI-native development practices to accelerate delivery, experimentation, and product discovery. - Drive the full development cycle independently, from problem identification through to production launch. - Collaborate closely with the product team and CEO to align priorities and strategic direction.

Requirements - Three or more years of professional experience working with React.js and Node.js, ideally within a TypeScript codebase. - Product-first thinking focused on user problems rather than purely technical elegance. - Hands-on experience building AI-powered products, LLM workflows, retrieval-augmented generation systems, AI agents, or similar AI-native applications, or extensive daily use of AI-assisted development tools. - Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to design scalable, maintainable systems. - Ability to learn new technologies, frameworks, and AI tools quickly.

Nice to have - Experience in mobile application development. - Familiarity with a modern stack that includes Redux Toolkit, Express.js, Nest.js, Google Cloud Platform, Firestore, and PostgreSQL.
