Product Builder - Fintech (m/f/d)

Role overview Take a product initiative from problem definition through implementation and follow-up in the acquiring area of a hospitality payments platform. The scope includes card and alternative payment acceptance, payment-facilitator capabilities, expansion into additional markets, and transaction reporting to a ledger. The role calls for independent product judgment as well as hands-on engineering, with responsibility for checking whether shipped changes improve customer outcomes.

Responsibilities - Frame customer or business problems in concise design documents, prototype approaches, and present work to peers and stakeholders. - Build and operate systems for payment authorization, capture, refunds, disputes, and alternative payment acceptance. - Develop payment-facilitator features, including sub-merchant data and identifiers, and support card-scheme compliance. - Expand payment acceptance across markets and connect payment activity to ledger reporting. - Use AI-assisted development tools, validate their output carefully, and share effective approaches with other teams. - Create reusable engineering patterns and help other builders develop their practice.

Requirements - Seven or more years delivering customer-facing software with measurable business results, including initiatives spanning teams, systems, or product areas. - Hands-on use of modern AI development tools as a core part of building software, with the judgment to evaluate generated code and payment logic. - Experience integrating payment service providers or acquirers at scale, including APIs, webhooks, idempotency, and reconciliation. - Strong product judgment and experience making scope or product decisions without relying on a dedicated product manager or designer. - Ability to take ownership from initial problem framing through production operation and iteration.

Nice to have - Startup, founder, or scale-up experience. - Familiarity with card payment topics such as 3DS/SCA, IC++ pricing, chargebacks, and PCI DSS scope. - Experience in a regulated financial setting, including audit trails and personal data handling.
