Product Builder - Fintech

Role overview

A hospitality technology company is hiring a Product Builder for its Fintech Acquiring domain, working on the systems that power card and alternative payment acceptance, the payment-facilitator layer, and ledger reporting. The role is for an end-to-end owner who frames problems in a short design doc, prototypes, demos, ships to production, and stays close enough to measure real impact. Responsibilities

- Take end-to-end ownership of product initiatives in Acquiring, from problem framing through prototype, demo, production launch, and iteration based on customer feedback.

- Design and implement the systems behind card and alternative payment acceptance, the payment-facilitator layer, and reporting into the ledger.

- Use AI tooling as a core part of how you build, set the standard for its use across the domain, and create reusable approaches that accelerate other teams.

- Establish reusable patterns and frameworks that help other Product Builders move faster, and coach those who want to grow in this direction.

Requirements

- 7+ years delivering customer-facing software with measurable business outcomes, including large-scale initiatives across functions, systems, or product areas.

- Hands-on experience using modern AI tooling such as Claude, Cursor, or agent frameworks as a core part of how you build, with enough judgment to verify what the tools produce.

- Experience integrating a payment service provider or acquirer at scale, including APIs, webhooks, idempotency, and reconciliation.

- Strong product instincts and a track record of making product calls without waiting on a dedicated Product Manager or Designer.

Nice to have

- Background in a startup, founder, or scale-up environment.

- Working knowledge of the card payment lifecycle: 3DS/SCA, IC++ pricing, chargebacks, and PCI DSS scope.

- Experience in a regulated financial environment such as an EMI or payment institution, including audit trails and PII handling.
