About this role
Role overview
A platform engineering position owning the CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and security posture behind a hospitality software platform used by hotels worldwide. The role spans a genuine multi-cloud estate across AWS, GCP, and Azure, modernizing legacy infrastructure while supporting product engineering teams that ship quickly. It is a hands-on opportunity to shape how a multi-cloud platform gets built and operated at scale.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, Packer) across AWS, GCP, and Azure environments supporting a multi-tenant platform. - Build and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions and Octopus Deploy, partnering closely with product engineering teams. - Strengthen platform security through encryption at rest, patching cadence, remediation of cloud security findings, and disaster recovery readiness. - Modernize legacy infrastructure by introducing autoscaling for worker fleets, containerizing where it makes sense, and reducing manual operations. - Embed AI-assisted automation into CI/CD and observability tooling, for example automated pipeline failure triage or anomaly detection across monitoring and error-tracking data.
Requirements
- Solid experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, and infrastructure as code with Terraform. - Strong grounding in cloud platforms, with AWS as the primary focus; exposure to GCP or Azure is a genuine plus given the multi-cloud setup. - Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes or EKS), plus configuration management and image building (Ansible, Packer). - Security-first mindset covering infrastructure hardening, secrets management, and remediation of cloud security findings. - Demonstrated experience designing and shipping AI-powered components inside platform tooling, with sound judgment about where AI genuinely belongs.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python, and a solid handle on Git. - Comfort supporting a polyglot engineering estate (for example PHP/Laravel, Node.js/TypeScript, .NET) without needing to write product code. - Familiarity with observability platforms such as Datadog and Sentry.
Benefits and work setup
- Remote-first policy with flexibility to work abroad for short periods each year. - Relocation options available after one year. - Flexible hybrid working arrangements. - Home office setup budget plus a monthly work-from-home allowance. - AI tooling tokens to automate personal workflows and build more efficient ways of working. - Additional local benefits varying by location, such as healthcare, retirement plans, and team events.
