Role overview The Senior Product Manager leads the launch and growth of a first consumer credit card inside a fintech that already serves business customers. The role owns the full credit account experience, from acquisition and underwriting handoff through rewards, line management, and ongoing account servicing, and is accountable for making the card a daily-carry product.
Responsibilities - Take the card from zero to launch, deciding what ships first and carrying it through program setup and compliance sign-off. - Own the application, approval, and wait experience end to end, making the approval among the clearest and fastest in the category. - Define how customers experience their credit line, including increases that feel earned and decreases that are explained. - Own the customer proposition, including rewards, redemption, pricing, and the economics that fund it. - Set a high bar for craft across copy, disclosures, latency, and edge-case states so the card feels inevitable rather than adequate. - Use AI where it meaningfully improves the experience, from intuitive spend views to surfacing issues before customers notice them. - Treat correctness and trust as product features, owning balances, interest, minimum payments, and reconciled statements. - Drive acquisition, activation, retention, and compounding growth loops, starting with existing business customers. - Align engineering, design, data, risk, compliance, legal, marketing, support, and partners behind one cohesive plan.
Requirements - 6+ years building consumer products, including at least one where money moved and errors were expensive. - Consumer product judgment with a track record of launches people chose to use, and the ability to point to the decisions that made them work. - Fluency in credit fundamentals such as approval rates, line assignment, vintage curves, charge-off, interchange, and rewards liability, or the capacity to learn quickly. - High bar for craft paired with a customer-centered, data-driven, experimentation-oriented approach. - Experience shipping AI-led consumer products and informed opinions on where AI helps and where it fails. - Strong cross-functional collaboration across engineering, design, data, risk, compliance, and partners. - Sound judgment in a regulated environment, balancing a delightful experience with the controls a credit product requires.
Nice to have - Card issuing, lending, or payments experience and familiarity with Reg Z and the CARD Act.
Benefits and work setup - Total rewards package includes base salary, equity (stock options/RSUs), and benefits, with target new-hire base salary ranges of $200,700–$250,900 USD for U.S. employees and $189,700–$237,100 CAD for Canadian employees, depending on experience, expertise, location, and internal pay equity.
