Role overview Lead a mobile engineering group building financial tools for people on the move — entrepreneurs, executives, and operators who run their work from coffee shops, airports, and client meetings rather than a desk. The position manages a team of roughly thirteen mobile engineers across iOS and Android, plus a backend engineer, all dedicated to crafting product experiences that feel native to a phone. It is a senior leadership role that bridges craft, product, and platform, partnering closely with design, product, and other engineering groups.
Responsibilities - Lead, coach, and retain a mobile engineering team of about thirteen, spanning iOS, Android, and a backend engineer - Mentor engineers across skill levels and shape a culture of craftsmanship, collaboration, and considered risk-taking - Partner with engineering, design, and product leaders to influence roadmaps and align mobile priorities without adding friction for other teams - Translate mobile constraints and opportunities into language that resonates with backend, web, and infrastructure peers - Build clear advancement paths and help the team execute independently while staying aligned with broader company goals
Requirements - Five or more years of engineering management experience leading mobile and/or web teams - Strong hands-on background in both iOS and Android development, with the ability to dive into technical detail - Familiarity with modern mobile stacks such as Kotlin on Android and Swift/RxSwift on iOS - A product-minded track record of building and shipping new products end-to-end - Demonstrated ability to develop engineers, design growth paths, and run a high-performing team
