About this role
Role overview Market Operations Analyst role on a US-based exchange operations team, serving as the first point of contact for exchange members and supporting real-time trading activity. The position centers on customer service, ticket handling, and proactive monitoring of trading and clearing systems, with a schedule that runs overnight from 9 PM to 6 AM ET, Sunday through Friday. It requires working US holidays and the ability to operate independently under pressure.
Responsibilities - Answer inbound phone calls from clients and respond to emails and Jira tickets in a timely manner. - Verify and monitor trading and clearing systems in real time to identify and mitigate operational issues. - Investigate problems using internal and external tools, escalating and resolving them with appropriate teams. - Liaise across Market Operations and other internal and external groups to drive resolution. - Contribute to ad-hoc project work as needed to support evolving operational priorities.
Requirements - 3 to 5+ years of trade desk or operations desk experience at a broker-dealer or exchange. - Effective, clear communicator able to handle complex issues with customers and internal groups in high-pressure situations. - Experience supporting FIX and SBE protocols. - Strong data analytics capability with the ability to write basic queries in SQL, Groovy, or Python. - Confidence working with real-time monitoring tools to detect and resolve issues. - Knowledge of U.S. equity markets, market structure, and clearing processes. - Willingness to obtain required licenses as directed by Compliance, flexibility in a fast-changing environment, multitasking ability, and a self-starter mindset.
